Job Responsibilities Benefits Supplemental QuestionsAdditionalEffectively oversees and administers the field audit functions of the SC Department of Revenue. Monitors and directs the appeals process related to revenue issues. Strategically plans the overall technical tax training program. Researches and implements strategies for effective recruitment and retention of talent. Oversees the development and implementation of an effective audit selection process. Acts as the Field Operations Division representative for the Policy Review Council. Assists the Deputy Director in the implementation of the Department of Revenue Strategic Plan, Annual Business Plan, and Performance Measures.Minimum and Additional Requirements:A bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration and six years of experience in tax accounting, collections, or technology, four years of which must have been in a management capacity.Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.Preferred Qualifications:CPA and/or advanced degree in business, taxation, government administration, or organizational leadership. Expected to exercise an extensive degree of initiative and independence in managing operations and making decisions.Additional Comments:SCDOR employees are required to be in compliance with all SCDOR tax requirements and are subject to a National Criminal Background Check to include fingerprinting.SDL2017.
