Job Description Position Summary: The Tuition Accounts Service Coordinator will be responsible for charging the student correctly. This person will communicate deadlines to other departments in preparation for billing. The Coordinator reviews wording for bills each term, the run sample group of bills to check for accuracy, run all the bills and mail. The position requires the ability to connect with students and parents to explain their statements and address their concerns. Responsible for posting loans and other financial aid to the student accounts and. sometimes returning funds following Title IV funding guidelines. Multi-tasking is to be expected as well as some evening and weekend hours. Minimum Qualifications: Min. Associate Degree in Accounting (preferably Bachelor Degree in Accounting) 2 Years Experience in a similar position with emphasis on customer service. Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and orally. Working knowledge of Excel and Word. Must be comfortable using technology and software to efficiently complete work. Reliable attendance Business attire Duties and Responsibilities: The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to: Maintain an accurate student accounting Aid in A/R Reconciliation Prepare excel lists such as “All Credit Balances for book vouchers” and “Balance Due for Registration Blocks” Bill students for each term. Counsel students about their balance via phone, email or in person. Maintain an information line for students (explaining the most FAQ’s) Post Financial Aid to the student accounts Return funds in accordance with Title IV Federal Guidelines Maintain all outside scholarships Responsible for accuracy of all activity on all accounts Back-up for all cashier duties Company Description We are a Higher Education non-profit organization.
