FN Manufacturing Job Description Job Title: Business Applications Developer Reports to: Manager, Business Services Department: Business Services Exempt/Nonexempt: Exempt Full-time/Part Time: Full-time Level/Grade: E-9 Direct/Indirect: Indirect Broad Function: The Business Applications Developer will collaborate with business and project stakeholders to analyze technical needs and develop solutions that lead to more effective business operations. Responsible for systems analysis, programming, and software administration and support as part of the management of Business Applications. Under the direction of the Manager of Business Services, assists in the maintenance and development of all formal software application programs within the company, including but not limited to the ERP system, the PLM, the document management system and quality systems and other miscellaneous applications. Assists in the administration of various databases and the operating system for the Business Software Application. Must assure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations and laws including the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), copyright laws, Federal acquisition regulations (FAR), and regulations as defined by specific contracts. Principal Responsibilities: Perform installations and upgrades to business systems software as assigned. Perform systems administration tasks such as user support, tuning and configuration to ensure the systems are accessible and meet the needs of the business. Provide system development services by conducting needs analysis, programming, testing, documentation, and implementation. Often involves development and/or configurations to integrate two or more software systems. Remain proactive to ensure systems meet user and business requirements. Document the development and configurations to systems. Quickly adjust priorities and tasks to respond to changes in strategies, urgencies, and business impact. Clearly communicate with technical and non-technical audiences when discussing system and business requirements. Set up and administer training courses for users where applicable. Education/ Experience Requirements: A bachelorA cents € (TM) s degree in Information Systems or equivalent. Three or more years of programming experience; working knowledge of SQL, Progress, ASP.NET, HTML, Java, JavaScript, and VBScript preferred. Training and/or certification are acceptable supplements for experience. Knowledge of developing portal website solutions for database applications. Ability to perform systems analysis, programming, application testing, maintenance of documentation, and implementation of systems with minimal supervision. Experience in Windows and Linux operating systems. Knowledge of Manufacturing Business Systems such as MRP, PLM, and BI tools; preferably QAD MFG Pro, Windchill PDMLink, Cebos and Cognos BI. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally walk, sit and reach with hands or arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
