MINIMUM OF ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE AND IAT LEVEL II CERTIFICATION REQUIRED ALL OTHERS NEED NOT APPLY Location: Crystal City, VA Industry: Defense Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 months) Salary: Dependent on experience, education, and certifications Must Have s: Must have minimum of active or interim Secret clearance IAT Level II (Security + CE or CCNA-Security) certification required Bachelor s degree in technical discipline with 3+ years of experience OR 7 years of related experience Qualifications: Strong knowledge of Solar Winds Orion Netflow Traffic Analyzer, and Orion Network Performance Monitor Familiarity with software development and network operations concepts and methodologies Strong knowledge of basic network principles Knowledge of industry network best practices and the use of project management and IT methodologies including PMI, ITIL, ISO 9000, and CMMI, and tools; must easily transition from one methodology to the other Understanding of business processes; ability to understand the technology to address and translate client s requirements; ability to lead projects of varying scales, and work with technical teams at all levels and disciplines Good communication and presentation skills; ability to manage conflict and implement solutions Job Duties: Support infrastructure operations with a full range of systems, security, network, and application services Provide Network Administration services for all voice and data circuits and endpoints; troubleshoot network transport and endpoint devices (switches, routers, firewalls); investigate and mitigate performance issues Ensure the security profiles of all network devices are implemented and up-to-date Utilize network management/monitoring tools to maintain situational awareness of all network devices/circuits Analyze network traffic and provide detailed reporting on trends; report on overall health, performance and capacity of all transport and devices and make recommendations for improvements Configure VOIP station sets; maintain station set configuration/inventory in UCCM (Unified Cisco Call Manager) Monitor, maintain, and manage configuration of voice/data network components; manage COMSEC materials Perform crypto rekeys annually within classified networks, and upgrade and maintain all Taclane encryptors Inspect, patch, and manage firewalls routers and switches to ensure compliance with security standards/policy Review and verify configurations, ports, and settings; identify non-standard values Contribute to the planning, design, development and implementation of voice and data communications networks; prepare/maintain configuration documentation (network OV s cable plants, rack elevations services) Keyword search string: Secret clearance EOE/ADA #clearance #dice Accounting, Ada, CCNA, Circuits, Cisco, Database, Development, ISO, Manager, Management, Materials, Network Administrator, Networks, Project, Project Management, Routers, Security, Switches
