Primary Function: The Security Administrator*s role is to support and administer all Information Technology security systems. The Security Administrator will be responsible for: system implementation, administration, incident handling, problem resolution, and vulnerability assessment.A. Duties and Responsibilities: * Administer security systems that include but are not limited to firewalls, intrusion detection systems/intrusion prevention systems, web content filtering systems, proxy servers, mail gateways, RSA multifactor authentication systems, and Syslog servers* Proactively monitors system and security logs of network devices* Assist in remediation of findings discovered by regular vulnerability scanning * Provides security expertise in the areas of vulnerability assessment, incident handling, system hardening and system implementation of network resources and documentation.* Assist Server Administrators with 2nd/3rd tier support for helpdesk * Provide recommendations for physical network infrastructure upgrades as well implementations of layered security while ensuring traffic flow efficiency* Create and maintain documentation of hardware and software implementationsB. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.* Experience with perimeter security devices such as Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems and Web Proxy*s* Familiarity with Linux and Microsoft Server OS* Knowledge of networking protocols IP, TCP/UDP, DHCP, LDAP, Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, SSH, SSL/TLS, RADIUS, NTP, FTP, SMTP, SMB, SNMP* Fluency with Ethernet, PPP, EIGRP, 802.1x Network Access Control, Port-Security, VTP, VLANs* Strong technical documentation skillsVALUED BUT NOT REQUIRED SKILLS, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:* Cisco Certifications (CCENT, CCNA), Network +, Security+* CISSP or other Security certifications* Experience with Cisco Firewalls, TippingPoint IPS, Cisco MARS* Enterprise Wireless implementation* Understanding of Certificate Authorities and PKI* Familiarity with PCI-DSS and SAS70 certificationsC. Essential Job Functions:* Communicating on telephone, in person and in writing with customers, vendors and other network users.* May work under stressful situations when schedules and priorities conflict. * Unscheduled hours required, particularly during network downtime. * Ability to sit for long periods of time. * Maintaining and installing equipment may require bending and lifting. - provided by DiceExperience with security devices such as Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems and Web Proxys.
