Requisition #: WINDO01205Title: Windows Sys Admin ILocation: Shaw AFBClearance: SecretCertification Requirements: MCSE & Security+CE** Selected applicants may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. ** SUMMARY:The contractor personnel shall have perform standard system administration services, including installation, configuration, operation, management, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, inspecting and maintaining server systems, including administration of all core and functional services/systems for all of the organization's networks, ensure a secure operating environment by monitoring user access and adherence to established policies and directives, and provide technical assistance on all assigned projects, to include desktop/server software application integration support, system configuration management, and software and firmware maintenance. DUTIES:Perform standard system administration services, including installation, configuration, operation, management, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, inspecting and maintaining server systems, including administration of all core and functional services/systems for all of the organization's networks. Ensure a secure operating environment by monitoring user access and adherence to established policies and directives.Provide technical assistance on all assigned projects, to include desktop/server software application integration support, system configuration management, and software and firmware maintenance. Support the detection, analyzing and resolution of problems associated with hardware, operating system and application software.Support research of new technologies and software upgrades and implementation of new applications. Support script development and implementation. QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field; MCSE, VCP, ITILv3 and DoD 8570 level 2 BACKGROUND NEEDED AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:More than 6 years' experience in the field or in a related area may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree. TECHNICAL SKILLS (MUST HAVE):Candidate must have MCSE & Security+CE NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS:Strong writing and communication skills; Ability to work independently and with a team; Attention to details and suspense; Ability to train others.SUPERVISORY DUTIES:Oversee work of up to 3 other System Administrators in the work center WORKING CONDITIONS:Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
