OD Technicians are responsible for checking all completed eyewear for quality and prescription accuracy. They oversee the dispensing of all eyewear, contact lenses and glasses, fit completed eyewear to patients making necessary adjustments and measure pupillary distance only under the direct supervision of the optometrist. OD Technicians also pretest patients, schedule appointments, answer phones and sell contact lenses and back up glasses.Fosters a strong partnership between the retail environment and professional services.Maintain a professional and supportive relationship with each individual doctor.Answer phones; direct calls to appropriate individual/department.Sell solutions, contact lenses, leaderA?s specials, etc.Schedule appointments, confirm all patient appointments, and greet patients entering doctorA?s office.Enter new patient history and personal information in plete pre:test; obtain brief medical history, complete noncontact tenometry auto refraction, visual acuity, color test, stereopsis test, amsler grid test, struct patients on wearing schedule and insertion and removal of contacts.Neutralize old Rx lenses.Maintain patient charts; update as necessaryMaintain inventory; replenish as necessary.Maintain quality control standards; ensure total patient satisfaction.Assist Management Team with patient complaint resolution and inform the status of all jobs; ensure all patient expectations are met.Adhere to OSHA and safety requirements.High school diploma required.Optical training helpful, but not required.Minimum of 1 year of optical or retail and customer service experienceStrong sales skills with a track record of beating sales goals.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to spend most of the day on your feet.Flexibility/ability to work any open store hours.Ability and drive to thrive in a fast paced environment with shifting priorities.Attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently.Eligibility to work in the United States.
