Job Description Centura College first began with the operation of our company in 1969 in Norfolk, Virginia. For the past 48 years, our firm has successfully expanded our training operations and Centura College now has campus locations with a focus on career education. Today we have six campuses in two states which include South Carolina, and Virginia where our corporate offices are also located. We are always looking for qualified and experienced individuals to direct and staff our campuses and currently have an opening for a HVAC/BMR Coordinator at our Columbia, SC campus. Share what you know with others and come put your skills to work teaching students at our Career College! We are seeking a qualified candidate to oversee operations of our HVAC program. This position is a perfect opportunity for an experienced HVAC professional who is looking to take the next step on their career path to teach their skills to the next generation in the workforce. Qualifications, Education and/or Experience: Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience in the HVAC field Have EPA refrigerant certification Have NATE certification OSHA standard 10 training certification Certified as Chief Examiner for EPA, ICE and NATE certifications (within six months of hire) Be able to teach combination of theory and hands-on with provided materials Responsibilities: Advise students for academic and behavioral problems. Recommend hiring and termination of HVAC instructors Processes student evaluations, grades, and all other required reports/documentation. Provide tutorial opportunities for students. Oversees inventory of department equipment and supplies, submits request for purchases to Director of Education/Campus Executive Director for replenishment of supplies as needed. Attend and conduct in-service training seminars as required. Advise students regarding attendance and academic progress and concerns. Complete instructor and course content evaluations on a regular and timely basis. Act as a substitute instructor when no other qualified instructor can be found. Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Education or Campus Executive Director.
