ReferenceNumber: Category: JobType: JobIndustry: Description Human Resources Generalist The Human Resources Generalist facilitates the management of all aspects of the Human Resources operations in the designated division of Southern GlazerA?s Wine and Spirits. The Human Resources Generalist is a key HR Support partner reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager. This role works with all levels of employees and managers regarding Human Resources policies and practices to support company strategic success. This position will act as a first point of contact for managers and employees for HR related issues. This position requires the ability to communicate and work with organizational leaders across a variety of business units. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES Primary duties of this position include but are not limited to: + Provide support for all employee requests, inquiries and concerns; delivers prompt and appropriate guidance to employees and managers under the supervision of department manager. + Communicates and ensures compliance with Company policies and applicable employment law. + Works with managers to draft/review counseling and progressive disciplinary documentation. + Responsible for On:boarding all new hires including entry into the HRIS system and coordination with payroll and other internal departments. + In charge of yearly Divisional Performance Appraisal process and managing timeline through completion by tracking progress, communicating with staff and keeping manager informed of challenges. + Responsible for employee benefits programs, and overseeing division open enrollments. + Collaborates with payroll regarding employee payroll/benefits administration issues and maintenance of employee records. + Facilitates and tracks the completion of compliance training and mandatory insurance requirements for employees and managers. + Generates HRIS reports as needed for analysis, review and updating. + Works in conjunction with the Delivery department to provide documentation required to meet SGWS and DOT guidelines. + Assists managers in representing the Company in unemployment claim issues. + Manages employee recognition programs and service awards programs; assists in planning employee events. + Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: BachelorA?s degree in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources or related field. 1:4 years of relevant HR experience in Employee Relations, Total Rewards, Performance Management, Progressive Discipline, or other related areas. Thorough working knowledge of federal and state employment laws/regulations including ADA, FMLA, and Workers Compensation. Demonstrated strong oral, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Must have good time management skills and the ability to independently organize work and prioritize to meet deadlines, make timely decisions and with sound judgment. Ability to participate in development and implementation of HR Management Information systems. Must be approachable and effective with ability to influence change. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, but also discern situations where information must be shared on a need to know basis. Willingness to comply with, and support all Company policies. + Demonstrated knowledge of latest version of Microsoft Office Suite programs.
