Job DetailsBSN RequiredBLS for Healthcare Providers requiredCurrent South Carolina RN license required2-4 years experience required Job Details: BLS for Healthcare Providers requiredCurrent South Carolina RN license required 10 East A general medical surgical floor that mainly sees patients that require telemetry monitoring. 10 East will see physician groups from family and internal medicine. They see a wide variety of patients from sickle cell crisis to a pelvic fracture, to a GI bleed. They are also considered the stroke overflow floor for 10 West patients. Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, responsible for the provision and evaluation of patient care delivered in a nursing unit. All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Palmetto Health's values of compassion, dignity, excellence, integrity and teamwork. Responsibilities: Implements and monitors staffing plans; schedules employees and assigns work. Continuously assesses and documents staff performance. Implements and maintains standards/rules/procedures in compliance with regulatory/hospital requirements. Participates with development/implementation/evaluation of unit and department PI programs. Assists with planning and managing the unit budget and resources to meet financial targets. Implements and monitors processes to reduce and control environmental hazards and risks; preventing accidents and injuries and maintaining safe conditions for patients, staff and visitors. Requirements: Education: BSN required Experience: 24 months RN experience with at least 12 months in practice area or equivalent experience; has practiced nursing in the last 3 years; charge nurse experience. Number and type of team members supervised: Licensed and non-licensed personnel Licensure, registry or certification required: RN currently licensed in South Carolina; Current BLS (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers) required prior to start date directly through the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association, or the military. (To register: Blended Learning or In Person BLS through the American Red Cross; or Classroom or Skills Session BLS through the American Heart Association. Certification must include an in-person skills session. Special training: Must possess knowledge and skills necessary to treat patients; other training as required by department; effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
