Position Description
Manage sales for a team of business and/or commercial bankers; acquire and manage relationships with business and commercial customers; cross sell business services and deposits; loan products sold are secured and unsecured business/commercial loans; identify referrals for branch and specialty partner sales. Used to manage a team of 2:5 commercial and business bankers.
Principal Accountabilities:
People Management:
Identify, develop and retain talent aligned with your current and future workforce needs.
Establish and manage to an annual team performance plan that is aligned with the Banks Competitive Path.
Clearly define and communicate individual performance goals. Through regular interactions and inspection ensure progress against goals.
Engage in regular one to one discussions, providing reinforcing and formative feedback to support associate development and achievement of results.
Demonstrate commitment to building a diverse, inclusive and civil work environment.
Sales Scorecard:
Achieve sales scorecard expectations.
Achieve sales results with an appropriate distribution of performance across products that align with intended job functions and market opportunity.
Achieve sales results that align with the needs of the community and ultimately support the organizational commitment to diverse lending.
Sales and Service : Sourcing New Business :
Develop and implement a plan to acquire new customers through prospecting efforts.
Develop and implement a customer outreach plan for retaining relationships and sourcing new business through the existing portfolio.
Use a needs based, customer centric selling approach to create value for both the customer and the bank.
Engage partners as appropriate in pre:call planning and joint calling.
Develop and implement a plan for sourcing and engaging centers of influence that refer customers which fit your target customer profile.
Represent the Bank in the community by attending and participating in civic and community events for the purpose of generating additional business and identifying potential CRA opportunities for the Bank.
Risk Mitigation:
Adhere to all regulations and Bank policies, procedures and delegated authorities.
Manage credit, operational, reputational, regulatory and legal risks related to personal interactions, customer transactions and financial exposures.
Act as a first line of defense in the identification of risk.
Complete required training and any Continuing Education by established deadlines.

Position Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor degree with a minimum of 8 years financial services management or business lending experience selling financial services and products.
:Or:
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 12 years financial services management or business lending experience selling financial services and products.
Other Preferred Qualifications:
Business development skills
Strong financial analysis skills.
At least 2 year management experience.
